I am born in France on the 19th July 1961.
Travelling around the world from Japan to India across the United States, Paris, Switzerland and now in Calcutta, photography has been my mean of expression since the age of 14.
My first professional assignment came in the mid 80’s for weekly magazines in Japan where I resided for five years. Upon returning to Paris I started collaborations with French newspapers Le Figaro, Liberation, Le Monde, magazines Elle, Vogue, l’Egoiste among others till the mid 90’s when I ventured into cinema and started directing short and documentary movies.
The serie CITY SOULS, shot in color in London depicts in abstract form, a lyrical evocation of humans in the urban environment, emphasising architectural mass and form to depict solitude, work, love. Men and women in the metropolis as virtually empty.
ENIGMA is composed of photographs shot in and around Calcutta where some unfortunately live in the worst conditions but retaining hope and energy.
PERCEPTIONS is about dehumanization whilst the characters in QUEST are searching for the unknown in an uncertain future.
FEAR relates to the changes perceptible in our environment and the anxiety it generates in each of us.
ELSEWHERE could be another world where traces of humans and in some remote places, few survivors are still visible.
I now live between Calcutta and Paris.
